Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Program Leader to drive enterprise‑level transformation as part of a firmwide modernization initiative focused on reimagining how work gets done, unlocking operational capacity, enabling next‑generation workforce capabilities, and delivering meaningful financial and productivity outcomes.
This role is accountable for diagnosing complex, enterprise‑level problems, shaping data‑driven strategies, and leading high‑impact programs that deliver measurable business outcomes. The Senior Program Leader operates at the intersection of strategy, and execution—translating ambiguity into clarity and insight into action.
Reporting directly to the leader of the enterprise transformation office, this role serves as a trusted partner to senior executives, with frequent engagement across executive leadership to shape direction, drive decisions, and ensure sustained impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead complex, enterprise‑level transformation workstreams with a high degree of autonomy, structuring and sequencing work within established strategic and governance frameworks.
- Design and implement operating mechanisms that enable consistent execution, accountability, and alignment across multiple cross‑functional partners.
- Act as a thought partner to senior executives by providing data‑backed insights, recommendations, and strategic options to inform decision‑making.
- Ensure long‑term sustainability of transformation outcomes by embedding new processes, governance structures, and performance measures into functional ownership.
- Integrate multiple workstream plans to ensure alignment across the broader transformation portfolio, identify critical paths, and document key deliverables.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and changes across workstreams, escalating appropriately to maintain momentum and alignment.
- Partner closely with other enterprise transformation leaders to identify integration opportunities and ensure connectivity across initiatives.
- Own delivery of defined program outcomes, including financial commitments, and develop clear executive‑level communications to share progress and results.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for executive updates and governance forums, presenting progress, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and steering committees.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent practical experience; MBA or other graduate degree preferred.
- Demonstrated success independently leading enterprise‑level programs or transformation initiatives with significant complexity, cross‑functional scope, and executive visibility.
- Proven ability to drive large‑scale transformation efforts where frameworks exist but require interpretation, tailoring, and disciplined execution in ambiguous environments.
- Experience making time‑sensitive decisions with incomplete information, while maintaining alignment to overall strategy, governance, and enterprise priorities.
- Track record of owning outcomes end‑to‑end, including program design, delivery, risk and issue management, and successful transition into steady‑state operational ownership.
- Extensive experience leveraging standard business and program management tools (e.g., MS Office, enterprise project or portfolio management tools) to support complex initiatives.
What Could Set You Apart:
- Deep understanding of complex organizational environments, including business operations, systems, and infrastructure, with the ability to anticipate and proactively mitigate enterprise‑level risks.
- Demonstrated capability to design, implement, and scale structured frameworks, including governance models, decision‑making processes, delivery approaches, and change management routines.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority, aligning senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders around complex decisions, tradeoffs, and priorities.
- Strong ability to create clarity from ambiguity by designing processes, decision structures, and execution rhythms that others can adopt and sustain.
- Expertise in establishing performance dashboards, KPIs, and leading indicators
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.

When it comes to your compensation, we want to be clear.
#1 Your performance drives your compensation – and we won’t limit it with earning caps. Not now, not ever.
#2 Our compensation is competitive and multi-faceted. Commissions and trimester bonuses – based on individual branch and firm profitability – make up the bulk of your variable income. But your total payout may include travel awards and profit sharing. And the opportunity to be rewarded for transitioning client relationships to financial advisors looking to grow.
#3 Our compensation is simple and transparent. We make it easy to understand how you are rewarded and strive to minimize grid changes. You know exactly what to expect and how to impact your results.
Our partnership structure frees you to focus on your clients.
Being a partnership makes us distinctly different from our competitors. More than a structure, it’s a mindset. And it permeates every aspect of our business. From how we work with each other – think collaboration not competition – to our long-term investment philosophy. It’s most at work in our shared focus on doing what’s right for the client. And it’s easy for us to do. Because we have no competing interests. No shareholders clamoring for short-term profits. We can take the long view, because we only answer to our clients. And to ourselves. Our financial advisors find this single-minded focus freeing. A clear mandate for success. And a clear path to get there.

Transitioning your practice is a difficult decision.
We’re here to help.
Moving your practice to another firm may be the most stressful decision of your professional life. We understand. And our transition team is here to help. From early days when you are just beginning to consider the opportunity. To that glorious first day of opening your practice. And our support is not one-size-fits-all.
