Describe your role within the firm.
I support our financial advisors by ensuring they have the right tools and information to recommend appropriate portfolio solutions to our clients.
When did you start at Edward Jones? And when did you start in your current position?
I joined the firm in 2001 and moved to this position in Fee-Based Programs in 2010. I've changed roles along the way, which does wonders for understanding how the different areas help our clients.
What did you do prior to joining Edward Jones?
I spent seven years with the Canadian Bankers Association focused on securities regulation, education, training and consulting.
Are there any memorable experiences you'd like to share that illustrates what it's like to work for Edward Jones?
Getting out there and doing client events for our Financial Advisors. It was refreshing to be face-to-face with clients and potential clients intent on improving their financial lives.
Describe the culture at Edward Jones and how it's different from your previous job. What is unique?
It's all about collaboration and partnership - we partner with our clients, our associates and our vendors, and we do it with a long-term commitment in mind. The Edward Jones "way" is woven together well, and that's hard to see from the outside.
What does the firm being a partnership mean to you?
We all seem to be tugging in the right direction and working better and better to be able to do that. Partnership is an amazing way to breed teamwork at all levels, internally and externally.
